Freeman Partners with NOLA Business Alliance to Help Small Businesses

A successful real estate manager, Geoffrey J. Block serves as the manager of RLB Squared, a real estate investment firm that he founded in 2013. A philanthropist, Geoff Block has contributed to several worthy causes including programs administered by the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree.
An internationally recognized business school, A.B. Freeman School features an innovative academic curriculum that combines classroom and experiential learning opportunities. On July 2019, Freeman School of Business announced a partnership with New Orleans Business Alliance, an economic development organization, on its program, InvestNOLA which was established to help people of color grow their local small businesses into $10-million enterprises.
InvestNOLA, which received a $500,000 funding from JPMorgan Chase & Co., addresses the need to increase the revenue generated by entrepreneurs of color who own 40 percent of small business in New Orleans. With InvestNOLA, local business owners gain access to flexible capital investments and business opportunities in the public and private sectors. They are also qualified to participate in management education and training courses created by Freeman School and Xavier University.
