Giants Sign Veteran Running Back Dion Lewis

Hilton Head Chamber of Commerce member Geoffrey J. “Geoff” Block has directed investments through a Bluffton, South Carolina-based holding company since 2013. Beyond his professional endeavors, Geoff Block is a fan of the National Football League’s (NFL) New York Giants.
Saquon Barkley’s position as the Giants’ starting running back in 2020 is secure, but the team recently signed veteran Dion Lewis to add depth to the position. The nine-year veteran was released by the Tennessee Titans following the 2019 season and was close to signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to reunite with former New England Patriots teammate Tom Brady. Instead, he reunites with several former Patriots coaches, including new Giants head coach Joe Judge, in New York.
Originally selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the fifth round of the 2011 NFL Draft, Lewis spent two seasons with the team before joining the Patriots in 2015. He won a Super Bowl in 2016 and had a career-best year the following season with 896 yards rushing, 214 yards receiving, and nine touchdowns. Through the past two seasons in Tennessee, Lewis accumulated 726 rushing yards, 564 receiving yards, and three touchdowns.
