The Lowcountry Strong Foundation has a mission to help enrich the lives of Beaufort and Jasper County families by partnering with community members in order to make a positive impact in the lives of the less fortunate. The foundation has been assisting families affected by disasters such as Hurricane Matthew. Qualified applicants benefit from assistance in the areas of food, medicine, and shelter, including home repair and rebuilding efforts.

To be eligible for assistance, applicants need to be full-time residents of Jasper or Beaufort counties. Those in dire financial need include families whose primary residences have been damaged or family resources have been impacted, negatively affecting their quality of life. Finally, applicant families should have $85,000 or less total annual income. However, special consideration may be made for families with a higher income who are in dire need of emergency aid.
