A versatile business leader, Geoffrey J. “Geoff” Block has managed RLB Squared in Bluffton, South Carolina, for the past 7 years. Dedicated to community outreach, Geoff Block and his wife Kim are involved with the Lowcountry Strong Foundation and its Hungry Heart initiative.

As part of its commitment to aiding residents of South Carolina’s Beaufort and Jasper Counties, the Lowcountry Strong Foundation partnered with Downtown Catering Company to create the Hungry Heart Restaurant Worker Relief Fund.

Through Hungry Heart, local hospitality workers who are currently out of work or suffering from severe cutbacks in wages can eat for free at several local restaurants, including Fat Patties in Beaufort and the Downtown Deli in Bluffton. To receive lunch or dinner at any participating restaurant, eligible parties must simply mention Hungry Heart while ordering.

The Hungry Heart initiative is funded by public donations through the Lowcountry Strong Foundation, and 100 percent of all money collected goes directly to Hungry Heart.
