Peak tourist season in St. Barts is roughly December to April. During these months, temperatures average 84 to 86 degrees and rainfall is minimal, an average of 2.5 inches for the entire season.

Unfortunately, the large influx of tourists at this time drives up the prices of accommodations and flights. Many hotels also require that tourists book their rooms at least six months in advance.

By April, crowds start dissipating. Between April and June, temperatures on the island increase to the high 80s and low 90s. However, hotel rates plummet and the beaches and many other attractions are less crowded. Still, tourists should book their rooms as far in advance as possible to ensure they get the best rates.

In the summer, St. Barts enters hurricane season. Average rainfall increases by about two inches each month starting in August, and many hotels and restaurants on the island close. Visitors who are able to find a hotel open during these months are rewarded with some of the best discounts of the year.

Finally, in the fall and winter months of September to November, the threat of hurricanes is at its highest, and rainfall increases to around five inches a month. Temperatures remain in the high 80s and low 90s. Most businesses on the island remain closed until November, when St. Barts begins coming alive again for the high season.
